Arnala Fort

Arnala Fort is built on a small island  port town of Arnala, located around 11km north  Vasai , Maharashtra, India. Being an island fort, it is also known as  Jaldurg or Janjire-Arnala . The fort was built in  1516 by Sultan Mahmud Begda

How to reach : By Car or Bike put Arnala Beach on Google Maps .

Taxi costs ₹210 - ₹280 from Virar railway station.

 By Train  :  Arnala Fort is 11 Km from  Virar station .It takes approximately 10 min to drive 10 km from Virar (Station) to Arnala Beach.

 By Bus  :  Buses  312 ,305, 321,310  takes 12 min. to reach  Arnala Beach

 Then take a ferry  from Arnala  beach to  Arnala Fort return ticket for ferry is 20 Rs 

The Boats Timings are :

• 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.

• 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. 

You can also Visit  Arnala Beach, St. Peter's Church , Shri Kalika Mandir Temple

1. Route via Western Express Highway (WEH) and NH 48:

- Start from Mumbai City and head towards the Western Express Highway (WEH).

- Drive north on the WEH towards Dahisar.

- From Dahisar, continue on NH 48 (National Highway 48), also known as the Mumbai - Ahmedabad Highway.

- Follow NH 48 until you reach the junction where you can turn left onto Vasai Creek Bridge.

- Cross the Vasai Creek Bridge and continue on the road until you reach Vasai.

- From Vasai, follow the signs towards Arnala Fort. It's approximately a 20-30 minute drive from Vasai to Arnala Fort.

2. Route via Eastern Express Highway (EEH) and NH 8:

- Alternatively, you can take the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) if it's more convenient for your starting point in Mumbai.

- Drive north on the EEH towards Thane and continue until you reach Ghodbunder Road.

- Take the exit towards Ghodbunder Road and continue on it until you reach the junction with NH 8 (also known as Mumbai - Ahmedabad Highway).

- Turn left onto NH 8 and continue until you reach the Vasai Creek Bridge.

- Cross the bridge and continue towards Vasai.

- From Vasai, follow the signs towards Arnala Fort.
