Murud Janjira Fort
 
Murud Janjira Fort : Its  famous fort and tourist attraction.This fort was attacked by  Marathas, the British, and the Portuguese yet remained unconquered. This fort was originally called Jazeera Mahroob Jazeera.  
By Railway :
The nearest Railway Station for  Murud Janjira is Roha railway station, You can take train from CST or Thane 
From Roha Station you need to reach Roha Bus stand  either by walking or by auto.Buses from Roha Bus stand  will drop you to Murud Bus stand.From Murud Bus stand you Need to take auto to  Rajapuri  , from Rajapuri you will get ferrys to Janjira Fort. 
From Thane get down in Panvel ,from Panvel  take ST bus from Panvel ST depot to Alibaugh or Roha , from there you can reach Murud by Tumtum  
By Sea :  from  Gateway of India you can take  ferry to Alibaug then you have to  go from  Alibaug to Roha & from Roha to Murud. 
By Bike or Car  : Put  Murud -Rajapuri  Alibaug on Google Maps    
In Rajapuri  ferry cost is  80 Rs per person , the ferry takes you  to and fro, within 45 mins you have to explore entire fort if you need more time explore then you have to pay extra.

Padmadurg Fort : 
Padmadurg is one of the sea forts built by Maratha King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1676 in order to control the activities in the Arabian sea. 
By Sea  from Murud  to  Padmadurg fort you need to a special boat which will cost you about 2500 Rs . This boat will take you to till the fort and bring you back.
To reach Murud Janjira Fort from Mumbai City by road, follow these general directions:
1. Route from Mumbai to Murud Janjira Fort :
- Start from Mumbai and head towards the Western Express Highway (WEH) if you are in the western part of the city, or the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) if you are in the eastern part.
- Drive on the highway towards Panvel.
- From Panvel, continue towards Alibaug on the Mumbai-Goa highway (NH66). This route will take you through Navi Mumbai and past towns like Pen and Vadkhal.
- After crossing Alibaug, continue on NH66 towards Murud.
