Phansad Bird Sanctuary often known as  bird sanctuary or wild life sanctuary is a house to many  wildlife species. Phansad is 170 kms from Mumbai in Alibaug  on a hill  its in Phansad Village near Roha. 
By Ferry : Take a ferry from Gateaway of India to Alibaugh (Roha) . From Roha you can get  cabs to Phansad Village near Roha .
Forest is thick and house  to  variety of birds/squirrel/,reptiles etc and other wild animals like Leopard (known as Bibaṭyā), Deer etc  it’s a best place if you are  trekk lover & bird lover or want to explore the forest and want to have good time with Family and Friends
The entry ticket is around Rs 30. Parking charges are 100 Rs for car and 50 for a bike.
Inside the  dense forest there is a  option to explore through bullock cart cost around Rs 500 per bullock cart
Best places to watch birds are Chikhal gaan, Phansad gaan and Savrat lake during  Monsoons it becomes Lush green

Best time to Visit : June to  Feb  
Accomadation : Basic tents (INR 500/- per day )  & AC Whitehouse domintory (Rs 1600 per day). It has all facilities like attached toilets ,tent fan, bed and bed sheets etc. There also are some home stays in a nearby village which one can opt for at reasonable rates.  
Food : There is a canteen which serves  both Veg and Non-Veg food at reasonable rates . Food is local Cuisine.
